Who we are

Houston Water Co LLC ("Houston Water Co.," "we") sells and installs residential water treatment systems in Montgomery County, Texas. Information we collect

• Contact details: name, phone, email, ZIP code and preferred contact method, from forms you submit and calls.
• Property and water details: installation address, water source (city or well), concerns, water-test results, equipment, serial numbers and installation photos, from you, our staff and our installers.
• Bookings: appointment and installation dates and any notes you add.
• Agreements and signatures: signed agreements, your typed name and drawn signature, the date and time, and the IP address and device information recorded when you sign.
• Account details: your email and sign-in records. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.
• Communication preferences: text and email consent, and opt-outs.
• Chat assistant: questions you ask and the answers given.
• Website usage: pages viewed, how you arrived (such as ad campaign tags), device and browser type, and approximate location from your IP address, through Google Analytics, cookies and similar storage. We don't run analytics on customer-account or staff pages.

We don't collect payment card numbers through the website, and we don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

How we use it

To respond to your requests; schedule and perform water tests and installations; prepare quotes and agreements; verify and record signatures; provide warranty and service; keep required business, tax and legal records; prevent fraud and protect our systems; improve the website; and, only with your consent, send marketing texts or emails.

Who we share it with

We don't sell personal information or share it for others' advertising. We share it only as needed with:

• Licensed plumbing companies that install for us: your name, address, phone and job details.
• Service providers that run our systems under contract: website hosting and database (Lovable Cloud, built on Supabase and Cloudflare), Google (Analytics, Firebase notifications for our staff, Google Workspace email and optional Google sign-in), Telnyx (text messages), and the U.S. Census Bureau address service when you check your address or book a visit.
• Permit offices, utilities or MUDs when an installation needs a permit or registration.
• Our professional advisers and insurers, and authorities when the law requires it, to enforce our agreements, or to protect rights and safety.
• A buyer or successor if our business is sold, under this policy.

How long we keep it

Leads that don't become customers: 24 months after our last contact. Customer, installation, warranty and signed-agreement records: for the life of your warranty plus 4 years, or longer if the law requires. Tax records: as tax law requires. Website analytics: 14 months.

Deleting your account and data

Signed in: open your account and choose Delete my account. Not signed in, or no longer have the app: use our account deletion request page at houstonwaterco.com/delete-account, call (281) 500-0477, or email contact@houstonwaterco.com.

We delete your sign-in, your notification and contact preferences, and personal information that isn't part of a required record within 30 days, and confirm when it's done. We keep signed agreements, warranty, permit and tax records for the periods above because the law and your warranty require them, and we use them only for those purposes.

Your other choices

• Texts: reply STOP to any text from us to stop, or HELP for help.
• Email: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or contact us.
• Access and correction: ask us for a copy of your information or to correct it.
• Analytics: block cookies in your browser or use Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.

Security

We store records with access controls and encrypted connections, and documents open through short-lived private links. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we'll notify you as Texas law requires.

Changes

We'll post any changes here with a new date, and tell account holders about material changes.
