Measurements are context-specific
Hardness, TDS and other field measurements can inform treatment decisions but do not by themselves establish that water is safe or unsafe.
Private wells
Private-well treatment may require laboratory or other appropriate testing for the conditions relevant to the property. A generic online recommendation should not substitute for adequate testing.
Product claims
Contaminant-reduction or performance claims should be tied to the exact system model and supporting documentation rather than generalized across unrelated products.
